FAQ's
Q What is the address of the venue?
A Stratford Racecourse, Luddington Road, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire CV37 9SE
Q What are the show's opening hours for Day Visitors?
A 10:.00 – 17:00 Saturday, 10:00 – 16:00 Sunday.
Q When can campers start arriving?
A The gate officially opens Friday 4th June 2021 at 13:00, closes at 21:00 - thereafter due to safety reasons, a temporary 'Overnight Holding Area' operates until 09:00 the following morning. These timings are repeated on Saturday 5th June 2021. This means that should you arrive at the venue after 21:00 you can still 'get in', camp and avail yourself of all the facilities (toilets, showers, etc.), plus entertainment (beer tent live music + jam session in the INTERNATIONAL CAMPERVAN SHOW marquee) and hot food from the catering outlets up until midnight. In the morning you can then be booked in at Check-in and wristbands issued whether pre-paid or pay-at-the-gate.
Q How much is day admission?
A £15 per adult Saturday, £10 per adult Sunday (Family Fun Day), children under 16’s free of charge - thus negating the need for ‘family tickets’.
Q How much for parking?
A All parking is free ... although donations to the car park staff's charity fund-raising for Macmillan Cancer Support are always welcome! Every penny goes directly to the charity.
Q Is Stratford-upon-Avon Racecourse disabled-friendly?
A In the main yes, but uneven ground is a posibility. Overall disabled access however is very good - from blue badge parking to a lift and disabled ramps in the main grandstand. Camping is normally on grass, but as there is a tarmac area adjoining the grandstands complex, camping can be arranged on hard-standing. Here in extreme cases where electricity is essential (ventilators, etc. - not just to make a cuppa!!!) an electricity supply can be arranged at cost. Please enquire in advance about Tarmac Disabled Camping as it can't be arranged 'on the day'.
Q Are there any concessions?
A Only one - disabled carers. Upon application pre-event (not 'on the day'), carers accompanying disabled persons are eligible for a complimentary pass. Blue badge and proof of being a 'carer' essential.
Q Is there mobility scooter hire available on site?
A Unfortunately we do not have any mobility scooter hire on site at this event. If you bring your own, these can be charged at the Event Office.
Q Are programmes available at the event?
A Information sheets covering trade stands, seminar descriptions/timings and general information will be available from 10:00 hrs Saturday 25th April 2020 - basically when the show opens.
Q Are there crèche facilities?
A No.
Q What is the medical/first aid procedure?
A The First Aid Post is located on site adjacent to the "World Tastes Food Court" (where the beer tent is located). Please advise a Marshal of any incidents. 24h MEDICAL HOTLINE: 07584 160289 ~ 07974 010521
Q Are dogs allowed?
A Yes ... on leads and under control at all times, plus ‘clean up’ is essential.
Q What facilities are available?
A There are several standard/disabled toilets housed within the grandstands complex and a central brick-built building adjacent to the campsite. Showers are at these locations as well. There is mains water supply for campers, but unfortunately no electric hook-ups. Wheelchairs, mobilitity scooters, phones, etc. can however be charged at the Event Office free of charge.
Q Is there a cash machine on site?
A No. The nearest is an internal ATM at Simply Fresh convenience store during opening hours in Evesham Road (opposite side of the road to the racecourse heading towards the town centre - 10 min walk, 2 min drive), or an external ATTM open 24h at the Shell service station in Evesham Road (again, opposite side of the road to the racecourse heading towards the town centre - 15 mins walk, 3 min drive).
Q Can I take photos/videos at the event?
A Yes, but unless prior permission is sought from the organiser, no drones may be used during the show.
Q Is there security on site?
A Yes. The main gate is staffed 24h, commencing 13:00 Friday 4th to 16:00 Sunday 6th June 2021. Here all access is rigorously controlled. A wristband system operates, therefore it is possible to come and go as you please from 09:00 to 21:00 Friday to Sunday.
In addition security patrols operate throughout the night.
Between 21:00 - 09:00 the following day, the main gate is locked with security present. Exiting the site for obvious emergency reasons is instantly possible, but otherwise expect delays as security checks will be carried out. To protect their property, exhibitors and campers expect and will receive a high degree of protection, hence the organisers will do their upmost to provide a safe, secure event. NOTE: Should security deem it necessary to call the police for a thorough vehicle check, they will do so!
